By booking an appointment on this site, or by using any Little Librarian or PinPal notification board or voice agent, you agree to these terms.
1. Bookings. Appointments are for the time shown in your confirmation email. Please cancel or reschedule using the link in that email if you can't make it. We may cancel or move an appointment and will tell you by email.
2. Voice agents. Our voice agents are AI. They can be wrong, and they can misunderstand what you say. Nothing an agent says is professional, legal, medical, genealogical or financial advice. Please verify anything important.
3. Boards and user content. Little Librarian and PinPal are not responsible for the content posted on any notification board or any content produced or actions provided by our voice agents. Content, comments, messages, links, images, and other materials posted by users on our boards are the sole responsibility of the users who post them. We do not endorse, verify, or guarantee the accuracy, legality, or appropriateness of user-generated content and are not responsible or liable for it. Users are responsible for ensuring that their posts comply with applicable laws and our community guidelines. Don't post anything hateful, harassing, unlawful, or that reveals another person's private information. We may remove content that violates these rules or the law, and board posts are automatically deleted after about one week.
4. Acceptable use. Don't misuse this site: no automated or abusive booking, no attempts to break or probe it, and no false information.
5. No warranty; limited liability. The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent the law allows, Little Librarian and PinPal are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from your use of the site, boards or voice agents.
6. Changes. We may update these terms; the version on this page applies.
7. Governing law. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, USA.

What we collect. When you book: your name, email address, any phone number or notes you enter, and the appointment time. When you use a voice agent: what you say during the call and what you type in the chat. When you post on a board: the message you post. Our servers also record technical data such as your IP address and browser type for security.
How we use it. To schedule, confirm and remind you of appointments; to respond to your requests and follow up if you asked us to; to run and secure the service; and to prevent abuse. We don't sell your personal information.
Who handles it. We host this service ourselves. We use service providers to run it: email delivery (Mailgun), speech and AI processing for voice calls (Deepgram, OpenAI, LiveKit), and network protection and delivery (Cloudflare). They process data only to provide those services for us.
Boards are public. Anything you post on a notification board can be seen by others and is deleted automatically after about one week. Don't post private information.
Voice calls. Your voice is processed by the AI providers above to understand you and reply. We don't intentionally keep audio recordings of calls.
How long we keep it. Appointment and contact details are kept for 12 months after the appointment, then deleted. Board posts are deleted after about one week. Security logs are kept briefly.
Your choices. You can ask us to see, correct or delete your information at any time by emailing support@librarian.live. You can cancel or reschedule an appointment with the link in your confirmation email.
Security. Access to our systems is restricted and data is transmitted over encrypted connections. No system is perfectly secure.
Children. These services are not directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.
Changes. We may update this policy; the version on this page applies.
